A new tool to keep track of R&D labs in emerging and developing economies that are associated with patented innovation or that appear in the JRC scoreboard list of the biggest R&D investing companies.

There is the widespread perception that not much R&D happens in developing countries, with the exception of perhaps China. Indeed, many have been surprised by the recent rise of China as an innovation superpower.

However, innovation happens in many emerging and developing economies (EMDE). I built a new tool to keep track of R&D labs in EMDE that are associated with patented innovation or that appear in the JRC scoreboard list of the biggest R&D investing companies.
